The first image I ever sold at a street fair was Golum. You can see this image on Gallery 6 of my website. The image is an ICM of a Mardi Gras mask tacked to my studio wall. Disturbing images that deal with subject like demons, hell, monsters etc. have always fascinated me and I have often wondered why so many works of this subject matter were produced during the renaissance era. Maybe these guys just enjoyed getting a reaction out of people too during a time when evil spirits were thought to be lurking just around every corner.
When I was a kid, this sort of stuff was part of my everyday life, or so I thought. And here I am, 7 decades later, and still get a bit concerned when I wake up in the middle of the night and an arm or a leg is dangling out over the bed. It is a sure-fire way to increase the chances of loss of a limb to a monster lurking under the bed by at least several thousand percent.
So, if you wake up one morning and that left leg or right arm is gone, don't say I didn't warn you!
