I have been reading a couple of books on eMail marketing for my website and recent book - The Art of Coloring Outside the Lines. About a month ago, I found a young lady on my Facebook feed who appeared to have a fair amount of experience in this area and she has an array of publications and services available for sale,. Reviews weree good, so I decided to buy her book. It was a good read and did offer a number of tips that may work out for e-marketing through targeted eMail lists. I am now using several of them in my marketing efforts.
But this story is not about her service and content of knowledge she is transferring to her clients. The story is about what came after I bought her book and a question I am struggling with. Every day for almost 2 months now, I have been getting at least one, and sometimes two eMails a day from her about various aspects of eMail marketing and how to take my eMail campaigns to the next level and beyond.
Good grief, where is the unsubscribe button? I have no desire of being absolutely pummeled into my next purchase. Unfortunately, she doesn't have an unsubscribe button, so yet another eMail campaign gets directed to spam.
But it does lead me to the question of how much is too much when it comes to eMail marketing? I want to get my ICM art out there, and hopefully generate a few sales, but at the same time, I don't want to cross that line of turning people off with my eMail campaigns. So, for now, I am planning on doing one mailing per month with discount codes for those who are on my list.
Is once a month too much? Too little? I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on this.
